Biographies

Glen E. Schumann is a shareholder of Moss & Barnett.  He has been in private practice since 1980 and has concentrated his practice in the areas of intellectual property, financial institutions, real estate, general business, and litigation associated with each of these practice areas.  He is admitted to practice in the States of Minnesota and Wisconsin in both state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Schumann received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and has been admitted before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since 1984.  His intellectual property practice includes patent, trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation and licensing in the United States and foreign jurisdictions.  Mr. Schumann assists clients with business method, mechanical and medical innovations.

Mr. Schumann counsels and provides litigation services to financial institutions on matters concerning real estate lending, participation loans, title issues, foreclosures and receiverships, collections and bankruptcy.

Mr. Schumann is Certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Real Property Specialist.  His real estate experience includes all aspects of real estate law and litigation regarding the same, including such matters as development, sales/purchases, financing, titlie insurance, mechanic's liens, leasing, zoning, 1031 exchanges, landlord/tenant and boundary disputes.

Mr. Schumann counsels and provides litigation services to business clients on issues related to entity formation and formalities, contracts, torts and insurance coverage.
