Biographies

Glen E. Schumann is a shareholder of Moss & Barnett.  He has been in private practice since 1980 and has concentrated his practice in the areas of intellectual property, commercial litigation, real estate and general business.  He is admitted to practice in the States of Minnesota and Wisconsin, the federal courts of Minnesota and Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Schumann received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and has been admitted before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since 1984.  His intellectual property practice includes patent, trademark and copyright prosecution, litigation and licensing in the United States and foreign jurisdictions.  Mr. Schumann assists clients with business method, mechanical, medical and electrical innovations.  Mr. Schumann is able to provide creative legal solutions while understanding the practical implications such decisions have on his clients' businesses.  He works ardently to deliver high quality, accessible and comprehensive service commensurate with the legal needs of his clients.

Mr. Schumann provides litigation services and support for clients in the areas of intellectual property, business liability, real estate and collections.

Mr. Schumann is certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Real Property Specialist.  His real estate experience includes all aspects of real estate law, including development, sales/purchases, financing, leasing, zoning, eminent domain, foreclosures, title issues, litigation and bankruptcy.

Mr. Schumann counsels and provides services to business clients on issues related to entity formation and formalities, contracts and other business issues.
