Biographies
Lorie A. Klein focuses her practice in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors' remedies, representing creditors in a variety of bankruptcy matters, including preferences actions, lien avoidance issues, nondischargeability actions, debtor-in-possession financing and various adversary proceedings. Ms. Klein has represented several committees of unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies in Minnesota. She has commenced over 100 preference actions and regularly handles Chapter 11 reorganizations and liquidations. Ms. Klein recently handled a complex and challenging Chapter 11 case in which the debtor sold its assets resulting in a 100% payout to unsecured creditors. Additionally, she is experienced in landlord/tenant, contract litigation and Fair Credit Reporting Act defense. Ms. Klein utilizes a unique, creative and multifaceted approach to provide her clients with valuable solutions to their legal challenges. Ms. Klein is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
