Biographies

Matthew P. Kostolnik is a shareholder in Moss & Barnett's litigation department.  He represents clients in a variety of practice settings including business disputes, employment matters, insurance issues, environmental matters, and tort claims.  He is proficient with complex procedural issues and handles cases involving injunctions/restraining orders, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, class actions, alternative dispute resolution, and administrative hearings.  Mr. Kostolnik has successfully defended and prosecuted civil claims at all phases of litigation.  He has tried nine cases to conclusion before a jury, as well as several bench trials.  He has also briefed and argued before the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Minnesota Court of Appeals.  Mr. Kostolnik is especially appreciative of the referrals he has received from other lawyers, including the many who have selected him to serve as local counsel for clients with cases venued in the state and federal courts of Minnesota.  Mr. Kostolnik is recognized by his peers as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" attorney.
