Biographies

Mitchell H. Cox has practiced in the general corporate, business, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, franchise, communications and construction law areas since his admission to the bar in 1983.  He is the chairperson of Moss & Barnett's business law practice area and is also a member of the firm's real estate and telecommunications practice areas.

Named a Business/Corporate Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law & Politics, Mr. Cox prides himself in providing superior service for the diverse legal needs of Moss & Barnett's clients.  Due to his broad range of skills and more than 23 years of experience, Mr. Cox is able to offer unique insight into the legal needs of his clients, thereby providing a comprehensive, efficient, cost effective and successful solution to a variety of business and legal challenges.

Mr. Cox has extensive experience with the formation, organization, financing and capital structure of partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies and other legal entities.

Mr. Cox's clients also benefit from his experience with reorganizations, acquisitions, sales and mergers of businesses in many industries.  In this capacity, he has been recognized by his peers as a Top 40 Business and Commercial Transaction Super Lawyer in Minnesota.

In the real estate area, Mr. Cox represents sellers, purchasers, landlords, property managers, tenants, contractors, subcontractors, design builders and developers in a broad range of transactions, including the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, construction and development of a variety of projects.  Mr. Cox has developed considerable proficiency in all areas of franchise law in representing both franchisors and franchisees.
